Disability Matters and ResourcesGUIDE TO DISABILITY and WASHINGTON STATE NONDISCRIMINATION LAW As we approach the 18th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) we would like to bring to your attention a valuable online resource for people with disabilities—DisabilityInfo.gov. This Web site is a collaborative effort among twenty-two federal agencies, and was developed to provide access to information and resources that enable people with disabilities to fully participate in the workforce and in their communities. DisabilityInfo.gov contains a wealth of information on cross-cutting issue areas including employment, benefits, housing, transportation, health care, education, civil rights and technology. The Civil Rights section of the site may be of particular interest to IAOHRA members as it contains comprehensive information on the laws and regulations that prohibit discrimination against people with disabilities in transportation, employment, housing, education and public accommodations.
